Job Title: Divorce - Family Law Attorney
Job Overview:
A law firm based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced Divorce - Family Law Attorney. This role will involve working closely with clients, handling complex family law cases, and contributing to the firm’s growth. The ideal candidate will have the drive to provide exceptional legal services and maintain a high level of professionalism while working within a supportive team environment.
Duties:
- Meet with prospective and current clients to develop case strategies
- Prepare and attend court appearances
- Draft letters, pleadings, and legal documents
- Meet billing requirements and generate new cases
- Travel to surrounding counties when necessary
- Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, monitor their progress
- Mentor and inspire other team members
Requirements:
- Member of the North Carolina State Bar in good standing
- At least 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in family law
- Capacity to manage cases and clients independently after orientation
- Strong communication, research, and writing skills
- Ability to meet billing requirements and generate new business
- Willingness to travel as required
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active North Carolina State Bar membership
Certifications:
- North Carolina State Bar Certification (Required)
