Assistant Commonwealth' s Attorney Responsibilities: Juvenile and Domestic Relations, General District and Circuit Court in a vertical prosecution office. Solid trial advocacy skills are necessary combined with a knowledge of the law and rules of evidence. Attorneys will advise law enforcement officers and interact with victims and witnesses daily. Attorney serves at the pleasure of the Commonwealth's Attorney.

Qualification and Experience Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of law. Active member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing. Criminal law and trial experience preferred. Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.
