A law firm seeks an experienced Finance Partner to join its Corporate and Finance practice group in Buffalo, NY. This role involves leading high-profile finance transactions, including complex commercial finance deals. Duties:
- Represent a diverse array of clients, including lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and institutional investors, in a wide range of commercial finance transactions.
- Handle both secured and unsecured financing transactions, including asset-based finance, cash flow finance, senior and subordinated debt, mezzanine, and leveraged acquisition financing.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on structured finance, private credit, and direct lending transactions.
- Draft, negotiate, and review key finance-related documents such as inter-creditor agreements, loan agreements, and opinion letters.
- Collaborate with other practice areas to offer clients comprehensive legal solutions for complex transactions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial finance law.
- Proven expertise in negotiating and structuring secured and unsecured finance transactions.
- Strong experience with commercial mortgage transactions, leveraged acquisitions, cross-border financings, and senior and subordinated debt.
- Ability to provide legal support to a variety of financial institutions, including banks, servicers, and non-traditional lenders.
- Familiarity with and international finance markets.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (New York).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes transactions concurrently.
