A law firm in Corona, CA is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney specializing in family law. The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload while providing valuable support on complex cases, demonstrating expertise in litigation, legal drafting, client communication, and case management.

Job Details:

  • Manage own caseload, primarily focusing on family law matters including Divorce, Domestic Violence, and Paternity cases.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, including courtroom experience.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and support arguments.
  • Draft, review, and analyze legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and other case-related meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and compassionate guidance on legal matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Maintain high standards of professional ethics and integrity in all interactions.
  • Track billable hours and ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with all client and case management requirements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing family law, with demonstrated courtroom experience.
  • Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) designation or eligibility preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and levels of understanding.

Skills:

  • Litigation experience in family law matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
