A prestigious law firm is looking to hire a bilingual Estate Planning Associate Attorney for its Downey, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney and possess a keen interest in trust and estate law. While previous experience in estate planning is preferred, it is not required. Duties:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, deeds, and more, in connection with estate planning matters.
- Assist in preparing documents for probate, trust administration, and conservatorships.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and guide them in executing their estate planning strategies.
- Represent clients at court hearings and participate in legal research and data gathering.
- Handle a range of additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and the capability to interact with diverse individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership with the State Bar of California.
Skills:
- Estate planning knowledge (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships professionally.
