Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Transactions Associate Attorney to join their team in Redwood City, CA. This position is ideal for a skilled attorney with 2-6 years of experience in life sciences licensing and collaborations, as well as life sciences aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other IP-driven transactions within the Pharma/Biotech/MedTech space. The successful candidate will support senior associates and partners in drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions and will play a key role in building an exceptional practice in this dynamic field.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate licensing and collaboration agreements related to life sciences, including Pharma/Biotech/MedTech sectors.
  • Support senior associates and partners in handling life sciences aspects of M&A and other IP-driven transactions.
  • Provide legal analysis and guidance on intellectual property matters relevant to life sciences transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic legal solutions.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare documentation related to life sciences transactions.
  • Assist in managing client relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments in the life sciences sector.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in life sciences licensing and collaborations, as well as M&A and other IP-driven transactions within the Pharma/Biotech/MedTech space.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior associates and partners in complex commercial transactions.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property concepts and licensing practices.
  • Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in California or New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in California or New York.

Skills:
