The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in science, USPTO admission or eligibility, and preferably experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications across various technological fields.
  • Conduct legal research and provide opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement.
  • Assist in intellectual property due diligence for corporate transactions.
  • Negotiate and draft IP-related agreements, including licensing and technology transfer agreements.
  • Manage and advise clients on intellectual property portfolio management and strategy.
  • Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, immunology, organic chemistry, or protein engineering.
  • JD from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
  • Admission to the USPTO or eligibility to sit for the exam.
  • 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing on patent drafting, prosecution, and opinions.
  • Background or previous experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
