A law firm located in Mt. Laurel is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Creditor's Rights Attorney. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of their current state bar, with a strong understanding of consumer credit collections, FDCPA regulations, and state laws related to consumer collections. The role involves managing assigned matters using the Firm’s case management and reporting software, attending court appearances, and potentially traveling. Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in creditor's rights matters, including consumer credit collections and enforcement actions.
  • Utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software to efficiently manage and track assigned cases.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and other pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on creditor's rights issues.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Travel for court appearances and other related activities may be required.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and provide high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

  • Membership in good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction where currently licensed.
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit collections, state laws regarding consumer collections, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Demonstrated commitment to superior client care and proactive communication.
  • Ability to utilize case management and reporting software effectively.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative work approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the current state of licensure, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in consumer credit collections and creditor's rights law.
  • Proficient in using case management and reporting software.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal regulations.
