A prominent law firm in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven legal professional to join a well-established legal team, manage a diverse caseload, and contribute to strategic case management in the field of immigration law. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in immigration law and the ability to provide top-tier legal representation for detained and non-detained clients.

Job Overview:

This position involves representing clients in complex immigration matters, managing a robust caseload, and collaborating with a team of dedicated legal professionals. The successful candidate will engage in both removal defense and family-based immigration cases, offering strategic legal guidance to clients and working closely with community organizations and legal entities.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal representation to both detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Develop and present strategic immigration solutions tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Manage and oversee a diverse caseload, ensuring timely preparation and filing of immigration applications.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals and provide legal counsel.
  • Prepare and submit various immigration petitions, including family-based petitions and removal defense applications.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community-based organizations to stay current with changes in immigration law and policies.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to assess case eligibility and outline legal strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs and related documents for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and move legal matters forward efficiently.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Experience handling family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS filings.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar admission in any . jurisdiction (Texas Bar admission preferred).

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Expertise in immigration law, including removal defense and family-based immigration.
  • Strong legal research, analysis, and writing abilities.
  • Excellent client communication and courtroom presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with legal teams and contribute to strategic case planning.
  • A high degree of organization and attention to detail in managing case files.
