Job Overview: A law firm in Lexington, NC, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its dynamic team. This position involves representing clients in complex family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, and spousal support. Duties:

• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and orders, related to family law litigation.
• Represent clients in court with professionalism, ensuring their interests are prioritized.
• Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to deliver high-quality client services.
• Provide clients with guidance, helping them establish realistic expectations and navigate their legal options.
• Negotiate and mediate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Manage a caseload of 75-90 cases efficiently.
• Maintain accurate time records for hourly and flat fee cases.

Requirements:

• Licensed North Carolina attorney in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, particularly in child custody, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and spousal support.
• Strong courtroom advocacy skills and the ability to communicate empathetically with clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and courtroom presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with clients during emotional situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term client goals.
