A law firm seeks a highly experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Portland office. This full-time position is ideal for an attorney with a background in real estate, land use, construction, probate, and business law. Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate transactions, including commercial leasing, title issues, homeowners' associations (HOAs), covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CCRs), and easements.
  • Advise clients on business law matters, including entity formation, contract drafting, and corporate governance.
  • Manage litigation cases related to real estate and business law.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and draft legal documents, such as contracts and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze cases, and prepare pleadings and motions.
  • Manage case files, billing, and client communications independently.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to develop legal strategies for client representation.
  • Take the initiative in bringing in new cases and managing an independent caseload.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing real estate and/or business law.
  • Litigation experience is required.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with hourly billing and case management.
  • Ability to work independently and bring in your cases.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate and business law, including transactions and corporate governance.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client relations and team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
