Job Title: Patent Agent

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a highly qualified Intellectual Property Patent Agent. This individual will work closely with inventors and technical teams, supporting patent applications, prosecution, and various proceedings before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This role is integral to the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice and requires a solid technical background combined with strong communication and advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of patent applications and prosecution.
• Conduct thorough research and lead inventor meetings.
• Develop and implement patent strategy.
• Assist in proceedings before the USPTO.
• Conduct personal interviews with USPTO examiners.
• Appear before the Board of Appeals for relevant matters.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Admission and license to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Prior experience in a technical industry (preferred).

Education:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

Certifications:

• USPTO Registration is required.
