Duties:

  • Evaluate personal injury cases, conduct legal research, and provide counsel to clients.
  • Manage a demanding caseload, offering professional guidance and empathy to clients.
  • Prioritize case workload and supervise support staff effectively.
  • Develop creative solutions for client issues and case strategies.
  • Review and analyze intake information, medical treatment records, and expenses.
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients to advance case resolution.
  • Draft legal documents, including demand letters, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and medical providers for optimal case settlements.
  • Represent clients in dealings with insurance companies, medical providers, and during legal proceedings.
  • Attend hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other relevant proceedings.
  • Conduct depositions, discovery, and legal research.
  • Network to secure new personal injury cases and build a client base.
  • Stay updated on legal developments, especially regarding automotive billing and PIP statutes.
  • Compile and submit reports required by firm management.
  • Assist clients with medical care coordination and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • No disciplinary or malpractice history.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced caseload.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in case strategy development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of personal injury law and medical issues related to cases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and supervise support staff.
