A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trial Attorney to represent clients in various litigation matters, including family/domestic, civil, and criminal defense. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of procedural knowledge across different courts, including e-filing and docket management. Duties:
- Represent clients in litigation across family/domestic, civil, and criminal defense matters.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and court presentations.
- Attend and represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Develop and implement case strategies in consultation with clients.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2 years of legal practice, including courtroom experience.
- Procedural knowledge of various courts, including e-filing and docket management.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
