Duties:

  • Handle a dynamic caseload in administrative, regulatory, and government law matters.
  • Provide top-tier legal representation in trial and appellate courts, including case strategy and litigation tactics.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex facts, and develop legal arguments.
  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
  • Oversee and collaborate with paralegals in trial preparation tasks.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, witnesses, colleagues, court officials, judges, and jurors.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and depositions, representing clients in court.
  • Ensure timely completion of case tasks, meeting all relevant deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on administrative, regulatory, or government law preferred.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and strategy development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client service and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of civil procedure and case law, particularly in administrative and regulatory matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and conflicting priorities.
  • Keen observation and attention to detail, with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
