Job Overview: A leading law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Intake Attorney specializing in Criminal Defense. The Intake Attorney will manage caseloads, engage with clients, and collaborate with a skilled Criminal Defense Department.

Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Monitor case management software for active cases.
• Review intake sheets and documents from potential clients.
• Identify potential criminal cases for prospective clients.
• Propose legal strategies and services to potential clients.
• Communicate with existing clients about potential services beyond current contracts.
• Answer legal questions and explain legal processes to potential and existing clients.
• Provide feedback to the sales team regarding client interactions.
• Oversee intake paralegals and virtual assistants.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense law.
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to advance legal cases and manage a caseload.
• Experience with criminal defense, intake, or post-conviction relief.
• Familiarity with case management software preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in California.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and client management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
