A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join its environmental law team in Washington, DC. This role focuses on guiding clients through complex environmental regulations, litigation, and compliance matters. The position offers the chance to work on high-impact cases across various industries, including renewable energy, manufacturing, and education. Duties:

• Provide legal advice on environmental regulations, compliance, and permitting processes.
• Handle cases involving the investigation, remediation, and litigation of environmental contamination.
• Participate in legal proceedings under CERCLA and RCRA frameworks.
• Advise clients on environmental risk management and transfer strategies.
• Address legal challenges related to energy and environmental regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with team members to craft innovative legal solutions for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of substantial experience in environmental law.
• Preferred background in science, engineering, or urban planning.
• Knowledge of contaminated property litigation, CERCLA/RCRA procedures, and environmental risk transfer is a plus.
• Prior exposure to energy or regulatory law is beneficial.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Self-driven, with excellent judgment and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in at least one . jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice in Washington, DC, preferred.
