A law firm seeks a dedicated Junior Associate Attorney to join its team in El Segundo, CA. This position is ideal for recent law school graduates who are passionate about advocating for employees' rights and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. The firm specializes in plaintiff-side employment law, including FEHA single plaintiff actions and wage and hour class actions, and offers a unique training experience led by former big firm attorneys.

Duties:

  • Assist in handling a variety of employment law cases, focusing on wage and hour class actions and individual claims.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare relevant documentation to support cases.
  • Participate in the discovery process, including drafting requests and responses.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather information.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-approved institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with California state and federal civil procedures.
  • Experience handling law and motion practice is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with clients.
