Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Estate Planning, Probate, and Business Law Attorney to join its expanding practice in Dallas, TX. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with clients on a range of legal matters, including estate planning, probate administration, and business law. Duties:

  • Conduct initial client consultations and develop tailored legal strategies for estate planning, probate, and business law cases.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of clients’ cases, ensuring thorough case preparation and execution.
  • Delegate tasks to case managers and legal assistants, while monitoring the quality and progress of their work.
  • Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, business contracts, and other relevant estate planning and business law documents.
  • Advise clients on entity formation and business contracts.
  • Represent clients in probate cases, including case management and court hearings.
  • Lead final client meetings to review and finalize legal documents.
  • Contribute to the firm’s marketing efforts through networking, writing articles, and participating in speaking engagements.
  • Pay close attention to detail in all communications and legal documents, ensuring accuracy, including correct use of names and grammar.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and business law (preferred).
  • Ability to independently handle a caseload and manage client relationships after training and orientation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate, professional advice to clients.
  • A team-oriented attitude, with the capacity to offer solutions and contribute to a positive office environment.
  • Commitment to upholding civil rights and promoting equality for all clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting estate planning and business law documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
  • Capable of handling complex cases independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
  • Attention to detail in legal documents and communications.
