Job Summary: As a Family Law Senior Paralegal at Gevurtz Menashe, you will provide assistance to attorneys, mentorship to paralegals, and excellent care to our clients throughout their case. You will utilize your strong work ethic, knowledge of local and state rules, and expertise in legal proceedings to provide legal support to our attorneys in the Oregon Family Law department. You will also have the opportunity to provide mentorship and training to paralegals while overseeing their delegated projects. Additionally, you will ensure that our clients receive exceptional care from the beginning to the end of their case. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and requires working on-site at our Portland, Oregon location at least three days per week. Key Responsibilities: - Provide assistance to attorneys in the Oregon Family Law department. - Mentor and train paralegals by delegating projects and overseeing their outcome. - Ensure an exceptional client experience from beginning to end of the case. Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oregon Family Law. - Ability to independently assess client matters. - Experience in developing case strategy and anticipating next steps. - Exceptional client service skills and ability to work independently and on a team. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy. - Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn and use technology systems. - Knowledge of division of assets, tax implications, and all stages of litigation. - Familiarity with local and state filing rules and procedures. Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit for long periods of time. - Consistent 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime. - Regular use of computer. - Occasional climbing of stairs and lifting up to 20 pounds. Salary: Starting at $73,000/year, dependent on experience.
