A law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for their Cleveland office. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience handling employment-related litigation, including individual and class action cases, as well as employment counseling. Experience with traditional labor issues is a plus. The candidate should possess strong academic credentials and excellent writing and research skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle employment-related litigation, including individual and class action cases, from inception through resolution.
  • Provide employment counseling to clients on various issues such as workplace policies, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advice.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, arbitration, and court hearings.
  • Advise clients on employment law matters, including employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and workplace investigations.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment and labor laws to ensure compliance and provide informed legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2-3 years of experience in employment-related litigation and employment counseling.
  • Experience handling individual and class action employment cases is required.
  • Experience with traditional labor issues is a plus.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Bar in the state of Ohio (required).
