A law firm seeks an experienced and driven Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its team as a Senior Associate or Junior Partner in Winston-Salem, NC. This role offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated real estate transactions while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team. A portable book of business is preferred but not required, allowing candidates to transition seamlessly into the firm’s well-established practice.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage a range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects.
  • Negotiate and draft comprehensive agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, lease agreements, and financing documents.
  • Provide strategic advice and solutions to clients regarding complex real estate matters and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of client projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to support business development efforts.
  • Contribute to firm leadership by mentoring junior attorneys and participating in strategic planning initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a proven track record of handling sophisticated transactions.
  • A North Carolina State Bar license (or eligibility to waive in).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain client relationships effectively.
  • A portable book of business is desirable but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar or ability to obtain membership promptly.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to articulate complex issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
