Job Overview: A law firm in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Transactional/Public Entity Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide transactional and litigation support on various substantive legal issues, including real estate transactions, leases, public contracting matters, construction procurement, disputes, and contract negotiations. This role requires excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, focusing on delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties:

• Provide legal support in real estate transactions, including drafting and reviewing purchase agreements and leases.
• Assist in public contracting matters, including drafting and interpreting contracts and compliance issues.
• Support construction procurement processes and address related disputes.
• Negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client matters.
• Prepare detailed legal memoranda, opinions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, as necessary, and collaborate with other attorneys on complex cases.
• Stay current with legal developments relevant to transactional and public entity law.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of relevant practice experience in transactional and public entity law.
• Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of California.

Skills:

• Expertise in real estate transactions and public contracting.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts.
