Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Orlando, FL. This position involves working closely with a Managing Attorney on family law cases, focusing on drafting legal documents, managing the discovery process, and conducting legal research. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a passion for advocating for clients’ interests in and out of the courtroom.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings related to family law matters such as divorce and paternity.
• Assist in the discovery process, including conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories, and document review.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and litigation efforts.
• Represent clients during court appearances as needed.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and foster strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Conduct initial consultations with potential clients, guiding legal options.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year of family law experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and anticipate the needs of the Managing Attorney and firm.
• Analytical thinking and keen attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active Bar License to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Professionalism in client interactions and court proceedings.
