The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading complex employment law cases, maintaining and growing client relationships, and driving the firm's business development efforts. This role requires expert legal advice, strategic leadership, and a strong track record in employment law.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage complex employment law cases, providing expert legal advice and representing clients in court.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in employment law to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, driving business development efforts to expand the firm's client base.
  • Participate in networking, industry events, and marketing activities to enhance the firm's reputation and visibility.
  • Manage a team of lawyers and support staff, contributing to the firm's strategic, financial, and organizational planning.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and associates, fostering a culture of professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions and build strong working relationships within the firm.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards and compliance with legal regulations within the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
  • Several years of experience in employment law, with a focus on defense.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and contribute to firm management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law with a track record of successful case handling.
  • Exceptional skills in client relationship building and management.
  • A portable book of business is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
