Duties:

  • Client Interaction: Build trust and rapport with clients during initial consultations, ensuring their concerns are heard and documented thoroughly for liability, damages, and coverage assessments.
  • Investigation: Lead investigations to gather vital evidence and assess insurance coverage, building a strong foundation for litigation or settlement.
  • Negotiation: Aggressively negotiate with adjusters to ensure full settlement value is reached while preparing cases for potential trial. Initiate legal action when necessary.
  • Litigation: Prepare pleadings, discovery, and strategy for trial, mediation, or arbitration. Represent clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow attorneys, case managers, and support staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently, from intake through resolution.
  • Case Management: Regularly review cases to ensure progress, address any outstanding actions or issues, and deliver the best possible results for clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong litigation experience, including trial preparation and strategy.
  • Proven ability to handle complex cases and negotiate settlements.
  • Exceptional client communication skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving positive client outcomes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Nebraska.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
