A law firm in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Attorney with experience in insurance defense, focusing on personal injury, product liability, and premises liability cases. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of litigation, from case assessment to resolution, and demonstrate strong advocacy and analytical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, depositions, and settlement conferences.
  • Manage files from intake through resolution, including case assessment for liability, loss, and damages.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and other parties.
  • Maintain client reporting, billing, budgeting, and case management requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and experts to strategize case approaches.
  • Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goals as set by the firm.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local rules and procedural requirements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas; membership in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Strong understanding of current procedural and substantive law, including federal and state rules.
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven negotiation tactics and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Skills and Certifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective client communication and team collaboration.
  • Superior research, writing, and briefing skills.
  • Familiarity with case management software and tools preferred.
  • TX Bar License (Required).
