A law firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Mid/Senior-level Finance Associate Attorney to join their esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing lenders or corporate borrowers in various financing transactions, including commercial bank loans, alternative lender loans, and institutional term loans. This role requires a professional with a strong background in finance law who can manage complex transactions and provide strategic legal advice.

Duties:

  • Represent lenders and corporate borrowers in commercial bank loans, alternative lender loans, and institutional term loans.
  • Structure, negotiate, and document loan transactions, including drafting credit agreements, security agreements, and related financing documents.
  • Conduct due diligence for financing transactions, including review of borrower financials and collateral.
  • Advise clients on the legal aspects of financing structures and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance law.
  • Manage multiple finance transactions simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in finance law.
  • Proven ability to represent lenders or corporate borrowers in commercial bank loans, alternative lender loans, and institutional term loans.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience in complex financing transactions.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New York (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).
