Job Duties:

  • Analyze insurance policies to identify coverage issues and provide coverage opinions.
  • Draft coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and coverage disclaimers.
  • Handle insurance coverage litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents related to insurance coverage matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex insurance coverage cases.
  • Advise clients on insurance regulatory matters and compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on insurance coverage.
  • Preferred experience in areas such as Directors & Officers (D&O) liability, professional liability, cyber insurance, financial institutions, fidelity, and crime insurance.
  • Superior academic credentials from a top-tier accredited law school.
  • Licensed member in good standing of the Illinois Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to identify legal issues and develop effective strategies.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
