Job Title: Counsel, Franchise International APAC & CPG Location: Atlanta, Georgia Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you a skilled negotiator with experience in international corporate law? As the Counsel for Franchise International APAC & CPG, you will play a key role in leading and managing international transactions and providing legal support to cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: - Lead negotiations, drafting, execution, and closing of various agreements including franchise, license, vendor, supplier, and services agreements. - Provide counsel and advice to cross-functional teams to support business and franchisee objectives. - Develop strategies for handling legal issues and implement processes to address risk and promote flexibility within the business. - Provide legal support for international activities, working with various departments and external experts as needed. - Manage outside counsel for international matters and ensure compliance with company guidelines. - Update standard legal documents to reflect best practices and current laws. - Provide legal support for miscellaneous corporate matters as needed. Education & Experience Qualifications: - Juris Doctor degree from an accredited . law school. - Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the . - 4+ years of experience in a law firm or corporation representing public and/or private companies in complex international matters. - Law firm experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Extensive knowledge and experience in corporate transactions. - Experience in drafting and negotiating various agreements, including international and cross-border transactions. - Familiarity with trademark law and licensing. - Understanding of general corporate law and governance. - Ability to effectively communicate legal strategies and requirements to non-lawyer colleagues. - In-depth knowledge of commercial legal matters related to global enterprises. - Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional projects. - Independent decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams.
