A well-established law firm in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an experienced attorney for a non-partnership track role specializing in commercial litigation, particularly focusing on financial services litigation. The attorney will handle cases across various jurisdictions, providing legal expertise in a collaborative environment. The role offers flexibility in work arrangements, including options for reduced hours and telecommuting.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft motions related to commercial and financial services litigation
• Manage written discovery processes
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue motions and appear in court proceedings
• Attend settlement conferences and mediation
• Collaborate with legal teams and clients on case strategies
• Handle mortgage litigation and other financial service-related cases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation
• Experience in financial services litigation, particularly mortgage litigation
• Strong legal research and drafting skills
• Ability to manage depositions and discovery
• Capable of appearing in court and arguing motions

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New Mexico Bar (mandatory)
• Additional Bar memberships in other jurisdictions are a plus

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and research capabilities
• Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members
• Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple cases simultaneously
