Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented associate attorney to join its Estates and Trusts practice in Bethesda, MD. This position involves providing comprehensive support to clients in estate administration and probate matters, with a focus on technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Duties:

  • Administer probate estates in Maryland, Washington, ., and/or Virginia.
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings and estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
  • Conduct advanced tax research, including analysis of income, estate, and gift tax issues.
  • Collaborate with clients to manage estate planning and administration processes effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while addressing client concerns with professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in estate administration or probate law within Maryland, Washington, ., or Virginia.
  • Proven ability to prepare fiduciary accountings and tax filings.
  • Strong research skills, particularly in complex tax matters.
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Active law license in Maryland or eligibility to waive into Maryland Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
