A law firm based in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-6 years of litigation experience with a strong background in labor and employment law. The successful applicant will possess excellent case management skills, including the ability to draft motions, handle discovery, and manage depositions. They will be adept at advising on a wide range of employment law issues, with a solid grasp of both state and federal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of labor and employment matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations under federal and state employment laws.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Stay current with developments in labor and employment law to provide informed legal counsel.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop case strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case records and files.
• Participate in and contribute to the firm’s business development and client relations efforts.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of litigation experience with a focus on labor and employment law.
• Proven experience in case management within the labor and employment arena.
• Expertise in drafting motions and handling discovery and depositions.
• In-depth knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, ACRA, NLRA, and other relevant state and federal employment laws.
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Active license to practice law in Arizona.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona State Bar license.
