Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of labor and employment matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations under federal and state employment laws.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Stay current with developments in labor and employment law to provide informed legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records and files.
  • Participate in and contribute to the firm’s business development and client relations efforts.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience with a focus on labor and employment law.
  • Proven experience in case management within the labor and employment arena.
  • Expertise in drafting motions and handling discovery and depositions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, ACRA, NLRA, and other relevant state and federal employment laws.
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Arizona State Bar license.
