Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Guardianship and Probate Litigation Attorney to handle complex legal matters related to probate and guardianship. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing caseloads, conducting in-depth legal research, negotiating settlements, and providing counsel to clients regarding wills, trusts, and estate planning.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in probate and guardianship litigation
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents related to estates, trusts, and guardianships
  • Attend hearings and client meetings, providing strategic legal advice
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and litigation efforts
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in probate and guardianship matters
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in probate, guardianship, or related litigation
  • Ability to handle a diverse and complex caseload
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Florida

Skills:

  • Litigation experience in guardianship and probate matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research and writing abilities
