Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, appellate briefs, and other legal documents
  • Handle a variety of legal matters across multiple practice areas
  • Assist with trial preparation, including motion practice and depositions
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to case strategy
  • Manage a heavy caseload, ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Provide excellent client service and communication throughout the litigation process

Requirements

  • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar in good standing
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience, including drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing for trial
  • Judicial clerkship experience may be considered in lieu of litigation experience
  • Strong work ethic with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior research, writing, proofreading, and analytical skills
  • Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Oregon State Bar license
