A law firm in Dallas is seeking an Attorney with strong analytical skills and litigation experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, preparing legal motions, attending hearings, and representing clients in depositions and court proceedings.

 

Job Duties:

  • Review and prepare summaries of medical records for legal cases.
  • Prepare motions and legal documents for court proceedings.
  • Attend hearings, representing clients in court.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
  • Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activities.
  • Draft discovery requests and respond to discovery requests from opposing parties.
  • Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.
  • Regularly attend court appearances on behalf of clients.
  • Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
  • Draft motions for summary judgment.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience.
  • Experience with medical records analysis.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent research abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
