A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have substantial transactional real estate experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Outstanding academic credentials and prior law firm experience are required. This role involves managing complex real estate transactions and providing strategic legal advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documents such as purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, financing documents, and related ancillary documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on real estate transactions, including property inspections, title and survey review, and environmental assessments.
  • Advise clients on real estate legal issues, transaction structuring, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to facilitate successful real estate transactions.
  • Provide legal support and guidance throughout the lifecycle of real estate projects.
  • Stay informed about market trends, legal developments, and changes in real estate laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the resolution of real estate disputes and issues, including lease disputes and property-related claims.
  • Prepare and present legal analyses, opinions, and reports to clients and partners.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Outstanding academic credentials with a strong law school record.
  • Prior experience working at a law firm with a focus on real estate transactions.
  • Proven ability to handle complex real estate matters and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating real estate documents.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Illinois.
