Job Overview

A respected law firm with a national presence is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with a strong background in immigration law. This full-time, remote position offers flexibility while requiring travel to attend hearings, interviews, and client meetings across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of hands-on experience in removal defense and family-based immigration matters, along with exceptional legal writing and case management skills.

Duties

  • Handle removal defense and deportation cases, including bond, master, and individual hearings

  • Prepare and file Adjustment of Status and other family-based applications and petitions

  • Draft legal memoranda, affidavits, and other supporting documentation for cases involving hardship waivers, asylum, and affidavits of support

  • Communicate effectively with EOIR, USCIS, DOS, and clients

  • Respond to RFE’s, NOID’s, and handle appeals before the AAO and BIA

  • Attend interviews, client consultations, and firm management meetings as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in immigration law

  • Extensive experience in removal defense, including litigation and court appearances

  • Strong background in family-based immigration petitions and related filings

  • Ability to travel regularly across states to attend legal proceedings and meetings

  • Excellent legal drafting and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any . jurisdiction

  • Good standing with state bar

Skills

  • Legal research and analysis in immigration law

  • Strong organizational and case management skills

  • Exceptional grammar, writing, and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in handling complex filings and legal correspondence

  • Experience with case management tools (., Docketwise, INSZoom) is a plus
