A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its civil litigation team in Reno, NV. This role focuses on defending bodily injury, employment, and other insurance-related cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in insurance defense, be highly proficient in handling civil litigation from inception through trial, and possess a strong commitment to meeting client needs. Duties:

• Handle bodily injury defense and other insurance-related cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct depositions, attend oral arguments, and represent clients in court hearings.
• Negotiate settlements and manage all aspects of litigation.
• Provide regular updates and reports to clients on case status and progress.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to deliver successful outcomes for clients.
• Attend mediations and arbitrations as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Experience with depositions, court hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
• Licensed to practice law in Nevada (additional licensure in other states is a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in Nevada is required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in managing complex litigation and meeting deadlines.
