Duties:

  • Manage the administration of trusts and estates from initiation to completion, including drafting and reviewing trust and probate documents.
  • Draft essential estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
  • Review estate planning documents prepared by other attorneys and paralegals for accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on estate planning, probate, and related legal issues.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when reviewing legal documents and handling casework.
  • Interact professionally with clients and opposing counsel, providing exceptional client service and communication.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, participate in networking, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to support peer associates and ensure a positive, efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • 2-5 years of experience in probate, trust administration, and estate planning.
  • Strong academic and professional credentials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced research, drafting, and writing capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and office staff.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member of the Pennsylvania Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Client relationship management and business development experience preferred.
