This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile international trade matters and cutting-edge corporate transactions. We are looking for a highly skilled individual with at least 10 years of experience in corporate transactions and a focus on international trade regulation. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, be licensed and in good standing in Michigan or the Washington . area, and have strong proficiency in international trade regulations and compliance issues. The International Trade Attorney will handle a variety of responsibilities including advising clients on regulatory issues, managing compliance with . trade regulations, and representing clients in trade-related matters. This includes handling corporate transactions involving controlled technologies, conducting legal research and analysis, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing clients in regulatory matters. The attorney will also stay updated on changes in international trade laws and advise clients on emerging regulatory challenges. This role requires proficiency with trade preference programs and trade remedy applications, such as USMCA, AD/CVD, and Section 301. The ideal candidate will also have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients. Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are also key qualities for this role. Proficiency in navigating complex regulations such as ITAR, EAR, CFIUS, and OFAC Sanctions Programs is a plus.
