A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial writing experience, courtroom proficiency, and outstanding analytical skills. The ideal candidate will possess superior academic credentials from a top-tier law school and a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Analyze legal issues and develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, production, and e-discovery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
  • Attend court proceedings and argue motions as necessary.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Tennessee State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm.
  • Strong substantive writing skills demonstrated through legal drafting and advocacy.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven track record of managing cases from inception through resolution.
  • Superior academic credentials with academic honors preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in trial advocacy or related litigation skills is advantageous.
