This role involves handling a large volume of cases, ensuring the highest standards of research, writing, and case strategy while leading and managing a dedicated team to maintain the firm's 100% success rate in filings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family-based immigration cases, focusing on T visas and VAWA cases.
- Provide exceptional customer service and legal advice to undocumented Mexicans and Central Americans.
- Handle a high volume of cases, ensuring meticulous research, writing, and case strategy.
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of legal professionals.
- Maintain the firm’s 100% success rate in case filings.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and provide compassionate legal support.
- Stay updated on immigration laws and policies to provide current legal advice.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and petitions.
- Represent clients in court and before immigration authorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to support the firm’s mission.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in the United States.
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in immigration law.
- Proven ability to manage both a team and a large caseload.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong passion for humanitarian immigration options.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
Education and Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar membership in good standing in any . jurisdiction.
