Salary Information: The salary for this position will vary depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and geographic location. However, the salary range for a Tax Manager at PwC is typically between $90,000 and $150,000 per year. Job Title: Asset & Wealth Management Tax Manager Experience Information: The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for investment partnerships, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds. They should also have experience with tax structuring and understanding the tax implications of deals. Experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment is also preferred. Additionally, candidates should possess a CPA, be a member of the Bar, or hold other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials. Responsibilities: - Provide tax compliance and advisory services to financial services clients in the asset and wealth management industry. - Help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing tax environment related to capital requirements, operational tax risks, and investing in different jurisdictions. - Assist in tax structuring and provide advice on the tax implications of deals. - Develop new skills and expand outside of your comfort zone. - Resolve issues that may hinder team effectiveness. - Coach and mentor team members, recognizing their strengths and encouraging personal development. - Analyze complex ideas and proposals and make meaningful recommendations. - Utilize multiple sources of information to develop solutions and recommendations. - Address sub-standard work and ensure it meets the firm's and client's expectations. - Use data and insights to inform decision-making. - Develop a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients. - Manage different viewpoints and build consensus for positive outcomes. - Simplify complex messages and highlight key points. - Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. - Innovate through new and existing technologies and experiment with digitization solutions. - Work with large, complex data sets and utilize data visualization tools to provide insights to clients. - Utilize digitization tools to optimize engagements and reduce hours. - Understand alternative fee arrangements and provide a point of view on pricing strategies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. - Minimum 4 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for investment partnerships. - Experience with hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds. - Knowledge of fund structuring and management to limit tax liability. - Thorough understanding of alternate investment strategies and vehicles. - CPA, member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials preferred. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Ability to manage resources, project workflow, budgets, and billing. - Experience as a team leader, creating a trusting atmosphere. - Ability to seek diverse views and encourage improvement and innovation. - Experience coaching and providing meaningful feedback. - Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment. - Familiarity with pricing strategies and alternative fee arrangements. - Familiarity with PwC's Tax Career Page and how we work. - Ability to work in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment. - Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
