The successful candidate will provide legal representation to clients who have suffered injuries due to the negligence or misconduct of others. This role involves handling personal injury cases from start to finish, advocating for client rights, and ensuring fair compensation. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of plaintiff personal injury experience, a Juris Doctor (.) degree, and be admitted to the Georgia State Bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal representation for clients in personal injury cases, ensuring they receive fair compensation.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of cases, including reviewing medical records, police reports, and other pertinent documents.
  • Interview clients to gather information and assess the strength of their claims.
  • Offer legal advice and guidance, explaining clients' rights and legal options.
  • Perform legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
  • Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court during trials, hearings, and settlement conferences.
  • Collaborate with experts, including medical professionals, accident reconstruction specialists, and economists, to build strong cases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, including all relevant documents, correspondence, and evidence.
  • Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Negotiate settlements to secure the maximum compensation possible for clients.
  • Stay abreast of changes in personal injury law by attending seminars, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury laws, regulations, and legal procedures in Georgia.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex legal issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Outstanding negotiation and advocacy abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
  • Trial experience and a track record of successful verdicts and settlements are preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services.
