Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm located in Ruskin, FL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic, fully virtual team. The firm provides legal services to homeowners, contractors, consumers, and small businesses across Florida, focusing on various legal matters, including contract disputes, business torts, real estate litigation, construction matters, and intellectual property issues. This is a remote position offering the opportunity to grow and develop in a fast-paced environment, with the chance to gain valuable experience in various areas of litigation.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents such as letters, memos, motions, orders, pleadings, and more.
• Prepare the lead attorney for upcoming hearings.
• Manage and monitor case management deadlines.
• Coordinate discovery processes with paralegals and legal support staff.
• Conduct thorough legal research on a broad range of legal topics.
• Maintain meticulous billing records and ensure accurate time tracking.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of experience in a legal associate role.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Must have graduated at least cum laude from law school.
• Must have been in the top 25% of law school class.
• Achieved an LSAT score of 155 or higher.
• Strong academic performance in legal research and writing courses.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar or eligibility to be admitted to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Clio case management software is a plus, but not required.
