A respected labor and employment law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office. This role involves defending employers in complex employment litigation, including class actions and BIPA (Biometric Information Privacy Act) cases. Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate cases involving BIPA and employment law disputes.
  • Provide legal representation in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitrations.
  • Advise and counsel employers on a range of employment and labor law matters.
  • Conduct training for employers on employment law compliance.
  • Manage class/collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background.
  • Familiarity with BIPA litigation and class action cases is highly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of state and federal agency procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
