Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Trust & Estate Planning field with a focus on probate and trust administration, as well as conservatorships and probate litigation. With 1-3 years of legal experience, this hybrid role combines in-office and remote work, allowing for a flexible and balanced work environment. Duties:

  • Manage an independent caseload, supported by paralegals, focusing on uncontested trust and probate administration, conservatorships, and less complex contested probate litigation cases.
  • Collaborate with senior litigation attorneys on more intricate probate litigation matters.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including petitions, motions, and pleadings.
  • Represent the firm in hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Maintain organization and ensure timely completion of tasks, meeting deadlines consistently.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with exposure to probate, family law, or civil law matters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong research capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting skills (petitions, motions, pleadings).
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues while maintaining a collaborative approach with colleagues.

Job Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – in-office and remote)
