A law firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney (Pre-Suit Plaintiff) to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to understand their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and represent clients in court. The role requires managing a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases. The attorney will be responsible for drafting demand packages, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with medical and other experts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including but not limited to auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
  • Work directly with clients to understand the extent of their injuries and provide legal advice and recommendations.
  • Draft demand packages and negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Review cases and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Network with medical professionals and other experts to support case development and report drafting.
  • Participate in and prepare for depositions, EUO’s (Examinations Under Oath), and legal research.
  • Attend client statements and legal proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in pre-suit personal injury law on the plaintiff side.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • Proven experience in drafting demand packages, signing up new clients, and negotiating and settling cases.
  • Ability to review case files and provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Experience with legal research and writing.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership with the Florida State Bar.
