Duties

  • Provide regulatory and transactional counsel to healthcare providers, insurers, and life sciences companies.
  • Advise on healthcare compliance, including managed care plans and health-related regulations.
  • Conduct legal research, draft, and review legal documents, such as contracts and agreements, specific to the healthcare industry.
  • Manage various healthcare-related legal matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop legal strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Represent clients in matters involving healthcare regulations, including device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, or health information technology.
  • Stay updated on healthcare industry regulations and trends to provide proactive legal advice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in healthcare law within a law firm, healthcare organization, or health-related regulatory agency.
  • Expertise in healthcare compliance, regulatory, and transactional law, including working with healthcare insurers and providers.
  • Strong knowledge of managed care plans is a plus.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic legal environment.
  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction, or ability to waive into practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in the applicable jurisdiction or ability to waive into the state of Florida.
